When we stop your exercise we gain the weight back?

Question: I heard many of them saying that any given point of time if we stop workouts n diet we will gain bk our weight is that true.. Pls guide

Answer: Many people are rumored to believe Many people are rumored to believe when you stop your exercise you gain the weight back that you lost during the time you exercise..

1. It is simple of law of thermodynamics.

a. Your calorie intake is > your calorie expenditure “ You gain weight”
b. Your calorie intake is < your calorie expenditure “ You Lose Weight”
c. Your calorie Intake = Your calorie expenditure “You maintain weight”
Your weight gain and weight loss are more to do with your Nutrition. Gym is a place where You Just burn calories. Now when generally someone starts their exercise program, they mostly tend to check their food habits. They mostly indulge in protein rich diets, remove junk food from their diet and control their food emotions. When they quit the exercise, they make subconscious decisions related to food, binge eat and miss on their planning. 


 

Now also understand what happens to all the fitness you developed all these years working out.

Fitness is a reversible adaptation. The body adjusts to lower levels of physical activity the same way it adjusts to higher levels. This is the principle of reversibility. When you stop exercising, up to 50% of fitness improvements are lost within two months. Strength fitness is extremely resilient, so an athlete can maintain it by doing resistance exercise as infrequently as once weekly. In contrast, cardiovascular and cellular fitness reverse themselves more quickly—sometimes within just a few days or weeks.

You can always backoff from exercise given your real life challenges BUT NEVER QUIT:
