I am tired and exhausted when taking office stairs after Gym

Question: I'm regularly going to the gym... but i am unable to build strength, i am tired and exhausted when taking office stairs. Any suggestion on how to build strength ?

 Answer: You are mistaking Strength for Endurance. Lifting 100 Kg is Strength and Running 10 Kms is Endurance. Muscular endurance refers to the ability to perform a specific muscular action for a prolonged period of time.

Doing less repetitions with more weight will help you increase your strength. Doing more repetitions with lighter weights will help you build up endurance. Doing 100 Kg Squat is Strength and doing 50+ number of squats is endurance to make it clear.

Skiing, for example, is a sport that uses muscle endurance; You fire up your Quadraceps. You also use muscular endurance in your daily life when you walk up long flights of stairs.
